PRINTING & BINDING A3 DOCUMENTS

DATA CHECK

For all orders in the small format printing area (A4/A3), we offer an optional professional data check. This includes the following checks:

• Do your data have the correct format? Is there enough bleed?
• Are your images high resolution (at least 300 ppi)?
• Are your print data set to CMYK? Are spot colors or special colors set in your document? If necessary, we will convert them.
• "Looks Black and Convert to Black" - e.g. 4-color black text will be converted to 100% black.
• Layers: Check if the status of layers is set to "print when visible".
• Are transparencies set correctly? If necessary, we will reduce them.
• Check if all fonts are fully embedded or converted to outlines.
• Check if black text is set to overprint. If not, it will be changed.
• Check font weights: If the stroke weight is below 0.014mm, it will be increased to 0.025mm.
• Check if white objects are set to "overprint".
• Does the page count match your order?
• Check if all pages are rotated correctly, so nothing is upside down.
• Is enough space being maintained for the margin?
• Check if bleed objects extend into the bleed area.
• Check if images that span across spreads will fit together correctly.
• Search for form fields and flatten them if necessary.
• Password protection: Check if printing, content editing, and form field filling are possible.
• Check if the document is damaged.

If corrections are made to the print file as part of the professional data check, we will then send you a soft proof by email for approval. The processing time is extended by one working day due to the professional data check.
